"So if you're afraid of dying and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away but if you've made your peace then the devils are really angels freeing you from earth."

In August 2003 the Centennial Exhibition in the Cairo Museum was again opened. The path goes round the left side of the Museum. And there I was much surprised to see lying on the pebbles the - heavily restored after having been smashed into pieces - sarcophagus of... Akhenaten !.
No one seems to care about it, and it was filled with cigarette-ends,and empty bottles of mineral water.

While researching a story on Albert Pike, one of the most important figures in Arkansas history, I ran across a surprising number of mistakes, distortions, misinterpretations and outright falsehoods. For some reason there is a highly motivated contingent out there who wants to have Pike's statue in Washington taken down, and they've allowed themselves to present lots of false, misleading and distorted information in order to further their cause. Here I hope to correct some of the more hysterical assertions.

From the page: "The moral code of our society is so demanding that no one can think, feel and act in a completely moral way. […] Some people are so highly socialized that the attempt to think, feel and act morally imposes a severe burden on them. In order to avoid feelings of guilt, they continually have to deceive themselves about their own motives and find moral explanations for feelings and actions that in reality have a non-moral origin. We use the term "oversocialized" to describe such people.[14]"

From the page: "In Part Two of The Holographic Universe, "Mind and Body," Michael Talbot discusses the psychological aspects of the holographic model.
According to Bohm, "In a universe in which all things are infinitely interconnected, all consciousnesses are also interconnected.
Despite appearances, we are beings without borders. Deep down the consciousness of mankind is one." (p. 60)
The holographic theory, according to the author, can explain many psychological phenomena. Some of these include psychic phenomena, the ability to see "auras", psychosis, the power of the mind to heal using visualization techniques, effects of placebos on healing, lucid dreaming and altered states of consciousness.
The power of the mind is awesome and remains untapped. The author believes that by understanding the holographic model we can learn to access these powers.
"In the implicate order, as in the brain itself, imagination and reality are ultimately indistinguishable, and it should therefore come as no surprise to us that images in the mind can ultimately manifest as realities in the physical body." (p. 84) "

From the page: "Neither the attributes nor personification of Lucifer or Satan play any role in the beliefs or rituals of Freemasonry. The topic is only of interest insofar as anti-masonic attacks have accused Freemasonry of worshiping Lucifer. The confusion stems from such 19th century masonic authors as Albert Pike and Albert G. Mackey who have used the term "luciferian" in its classical or literary sense to refer to a search for knowledge. John Robinson notes "The emphasis here should be on intent. When Albert Pike and other Masonic scholars spoke over a century ago about the "Luciferian path," or the "energies of Lucifer," they were referring to the morning star, the light bearer, the search for light; the very antithesis of dark, satanic evil.""
